Providing help in crisis by providing free emergency food until the appropriate agencies are in a position to assist. The aim is to engage with communities, introducing sustainable projects that enable marginalised people to break through their cycle of poverty.
Working together to support social need in the community
Maybury Open Door is open to all and supports a wide range of adults including elderly, people with a disability, homeless, isolated people and others who just need to venture out and meet new friends. The centre seeks to promote the ability of people, and to encourage them to take an active role.
A group of young people bringing energy and excitement to the church, meeting on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings. At YC, we believe teens are at a very crucial stage in their lives. They are forming their identities and want to know who they are and why they are here. Teens are looking for something to believe in, something to live for.
During school terms Jelly Tots caters for children from 0 to 5 years of age when they go off to school. The group provides a relaxed atmosphere in which the children can play safely and the carers can relax together and chat over tea or coffee.
Working in schools in and around Harlow Great Open Door’s aim is to enrich the children’s learning experience and be exceptional. People drawn from local churches who want to serve schools by providing Christian assemblies and teaching Religious Education.

The Mix is for teenagers, those who are used to church and those who are not. An informal environment where teens can relax and make friends. We believe teens are at a very crucial stage in their lives. They are forming their identities and want to know who they are and why they are here. The Mix is working with other churches in Harlow to help and encourage young people.
