So what happens in the end?
In the Bible in the gospel of Matthew it says '“At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
Does the end provide an imperative for today's church?
There’s no doubt. We’ve read the final chapter. God’s Word tells us how it’s going to end. One day God’s going to wrap it all up here on Earth, and he’s going to take his children home to Heaven to be with him forever.
The Bible says, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14 NIV).
So what are the signs? What will happen?
In this 3-part series we look at what prophecies have been fulfilled since Jesus went up to heaven and what do we think is going to happen before he finally comes again.
But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
