CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) GUIDANCE

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In response to the latest advice from the Government about tackling the Coronavirus (COVID-19 virus), we’ve made the decision to cancel our Sunday services, meetings and drop-in centres held at Harefield Church for the foreseeable future.

Whilst for many of us the risk of serious illness is small, we believe this is the most loving and responsible action we can take to ensure we’re protecting the most vulnerable amongst us.

Meetings and drop-in centres cancelled include:

Sunday morning services
Maybury Open Door
Jelly Tots
Café+
Prayer meetings
Midweek teaching

We will continue to closely monitor the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and, following advice from Public Health England, we will take appropriate steps to ensure we keep visitors, our church family, staff team, and volunteers as safe as possible.

We will be reviewing all our upcoming events as the situation progresses.  We will keep you up to date via our website, email and our Social Media channels.

Sundays

Instead of meeting in our normal settings, we will be moving our Sunday Services online for you to listen with friends and family at home at harefieldchurch.org/media/ and at the Harefield YouTube Channel

The online services will take place each Sunday at 11:00am, and will include a talk which can be listened as an audio and we are also going to try and produce a video.  We will be pre-recording the talks so that they will be available.

No doubt this will take us all a little while to get used to so please bear with us.

During the Week

On each day of the week, Monday to Friday, we will produce a ‘Thought for the Day’ by one of the Church Leaders.  These will be posted on the Men’s and Women’s WhatsApp groups and on the Harefield YouTube Channel.

Pastoral care

We would encourage everyone to pray for the current Coronavirus situation across our nation.

On a weekly basis we will touch base with those in our church family who are vulnerable or self-isolated.  We would also encourage you to consider regularly checking up on some of the people in the church, not just your close friends but perhaps some names from the Church Directory who you may not have spoken to before and introduce yourself.

If you have any problems then please contact the church leadership.

Keeping you updated

These are big changes and none of us know how long they will be in place.  We’ll be sending out more information and resources in the coming days and weeks, as we adjust to this new normal.  But we hope this will help you to keep connecting with others, and with God.

We will be reviewing all our upcoming events as the situation progresses.  We will keep you up to date via our website, email and our Social Media channels.
